Alan is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) with a career that has spanned roles both in general practice and in the business world.    Following qualification, he having spent several years in commercial roles as Financial Controller, Financial Director and Managing Director with a number of Irish businesses before returning to practice to found Buggy McLean Chartered Accountants in 2005.   Buggy McLean merged with Whiteside Cullinan in 2011. 

He is a Qualified Financial Advisor and when not behind the desk he enjoys playing basketball and cycling. He is a former Director of the charity, Suicide or Survive and the current chairman of Glasnevin Basketball Club.
